We are a nonprofit dedicated to building and celebrating book culture in the Upper Cumberland. We believe literacy is a vital part of a healthy community.  Studies have repeatedly shown that having books in the home influences a child's success in life. So we want to place as many books in homes as we can. ​

Literacy is important for full, engaged participation in society. We want to remove the stigma from not being able to read and instead be part of the solution, with a goal of partnering with local organizations to host adult literacy classes.

We want to build a community around book culture in the Upper Cumberland. Whether that's through book clubs, poetry nights, writing workshops, or author events, we want to find ways to share our love of books with other readers. And we want to do so in a friendly, welcoming space.
